German banker Herman Upmann was so enamoured with Cuban cigars that he relocated to Havana in 1844 and established a business as a banker and cigar producer. Although his bank folded in the early 1920s, his cigars are still regarded as a superb example of a Habano that is light to medium in flavour. Only filler and binder tobaccos cultivated in the Vuelta Abajo zone make up H. Upmann’s blend. The brand’s branded boxes have gold medals from at least eleven international shows throughout the 19th century. The Magnum 46 and the Magnum 50, which were released in 2008, are two of the most well-known H. Upmann sizes and are distinguished by their light to medium flavour.
